UHMWPE Lexicon - Polyethylene Primer

Polyethylene Primer

In the October 1999 issue of Orthopedics Today, Tom Schmalzried and Harry McKellop created a basic overview of polyethylene in total joint replacements, intended primarily for an audience of orthopedic surgeons. The primer provides an excellent introduction to current issues and terminology, which should also prove useful to students and new researchers in the field.

Links to three articles from the October 1999 issue of Orthopedics Today are provided here. After registering, you can access the articles (and the entire Orthopedics Today database) for free.
